Spring Is In The Air

The smell of fresh cut grass, rain, and blooming flowers fill the air during Spring. For some these smells are heaven, for others they may bring allergies. But mostly, people feel lighter, freer, and happier. With the change of season often times there is a sense of renewed purpose, hope, and a more positive outlook. So now is the time to take all of this wonderful energy and use it to clear the mind, get more done, socialize with friends, enjoy outdoor activities, and smile. Oh and you don't want to miss out on a Spring Into Shape 6-week Fusion Intensive program, details below.

Boost Memory, Mood, Energy, and Metabolism

Not only can the smell of Spring change your perspective, but certain other scents can boost memory, mood, energy, and even metabolism. Manage Your Cravings with your favorite scent. If you don't have one then experiment with green apple. Relax with the scent of orange or lavendar. This can be especially helpful before bedtime to enhance sleep. Improve Memory and Alertness with the wonderful smell of rosemary. Take a whiff the next time you have to study or present. Alleviate Pain and Enhance Your Workout with the refreshing smell of peppermint oil. Try it the next time you have a headache or need to hit the gym. Appear Younger with the invigorating scent of pink grapefruit. All of these scents are available in nature but for a more concentrated experience use sachets and essential oils.

Recipe of the Month: Prep Once, Eat Multiple Times

As it starts getting warmer a refreshing, healthy, organic, natural drink is key. Not only does the smell of citrus and mint have benefits, but so does the taste. Take a few minutes to make a Rasta Frappe. The ingredients: 1/4 pineapple, 1 cup combined orange, lemon, lime juice (citrus trio*), a few mint leaves, and 2 cups of ice. Blend all ingredients. The slushier and creamier you want it, the more ice you should add. Freeze leftovers in individual serving cups and enjoy throughout the week. *Note: an added step is to juice the citrus fruits on your own.
